Upper Peninsula Rubber Company, Inc. was founded in 1986 in Escanaba, MI as a manufacturer of rubber extrusions predominantly utilized to reduce groundwater pollution. The major product of Upper Peninsula Rubber Company is a product known as Cadilloc External Pipe Joint™. Cadilloc (ASTM C-877) is an external sealing band for circular and noncircular storm drain and culvert pipe. UP Rubber also manufactures Esky-Wrap™, another external sealing band commonly used as a repair joint. A final pipeline product is Cadilloc #87-7. It is an internal sealing diaphragm used on joint sealing of existing 18” and larger circular pipe.

In addition to pipeline products, UP Rubber Company also manufactures custom rubber extrusions, specializing in larger profiles and tubing. Coil, strip and chopped lengths are available in all shapes and sizes.

Tunnel Vision Pipeline Services is a division of UP Rubber Company that offers pipeline technologies to consulting engineers, underground contractors, municipalities and other owners of sanitary and storm collection systems.

On-Site Solutions, another division, supplies Aerobic Treatment Units to homeowners and underground contractors for on-site treatment of domestic wastewater. The aerobic system injects air to help break down the nutrients and produces a higher quality effluent than does a conventional septic tank. It is often installed in areas with high groundwater levels or poor soil percolation. The use of ATU’s may make an unbuildable home site buildable.
